Acts 10:1-2 KJV
[1] There was a certain man in Cæsarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
[2] a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.
Every believer in Christ must have a strong devotional life – a life of prayer, fasting and word feeding. This is non-negotiable.
What powers the Christian life is your devotional life. If your Devotional life is weak, you will be weak spiritually. On the other hand, if your devotional life is strong, your life will be strong as well.
Cornelius had a consistent devotional life. We must learn from him – that is what it means to be devout – one devoted to God.
And as Cornelius continued in his consistent devotional life, one time he had a visitation from God that completely changed the trajectory of his life.
And the timing of this visitations is only determined by God. This is why you have to consistently pray and fast and engage in the word.
In one of such moment God will visit you and bring a shift into your life. This is how you initiate the move of God. And if you continue like that, divine encounters will become the norm in your life.
Those who don’t pray and fast live a dry life. There is nothing supernatural and exciting about their lives. You can make your life a platform for divine visitations and encounters through consistent fasting and prayers.
