THE DEVIL HAS NOT CHANGED HIS TRICKS

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

If you know your Bible very well, one thing you will realise about the devil is that, he has not changed his tactics. He uses the same old tricks on all of us. He did the same thing to Jesus. When He came to Adam and Eve in the garden, he made them to doubt God’s goodness and questioned God’s faithfulness to keep His word.

The devil came to challenge what God has said to Adam. And Adam sinned against God because he doubted God’s word given to him. The devil told Adam that God was hiding something wonderful from them that’s why He has forbidden them not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Unfortunately, Adam bought into the lie of the devil and plunged the whole world into chaos.

Apostle Paul feared for the Corinthian church that their minds be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Any message that makes you doubt God’s goodness and grace is from hell. When you hear people say that if God is good God, why does he allow evil in the world? Just get to know that satan is at work. One thing you must know is that, God is not the one controlling the happenings of the world; this is man’s world. We are responsible for whatever we make.

When you hear people tell you that God does not heal all the time, just know that satan is at work. The devil is trying to let you doubt God’s love for you in keeping your body whole; he is trying to let you doubt the power in the stripes of Jesus which is for all time. You can receive your healing anytime your faith is ready to receive.

When you hear people tell you that God will condemn you His beloved in hell just because of some sin you might have committed, just know that satan is at work. The devil wants you to doubt the power of the cross to remove all sins. Jesus died to pay for all sins. God does not want you to live a sinful lifestyle. But should in case you sin, just know that you have an advocate for you, Jesus the Righteous One.

You must know the truth of God’s word enough to handle the devil and put him where he truly belongs, under your feet. All he has are tricks and lies; he is the father of lies. And he even wraps his lies in preaching that comes in the church. Don’t be surprised! If you are ignorant in the word, you are in trouble; the devil will beat you real good. Remember he tempted Jesus. This guy is a maverick! Get grounded in the word and put the devil to flight.
