THE OVERCOMING LIFE

1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. NKJV

The life that we have received from God in Christ is the overcoming life. Our theme scripture says, whatsoever that is born of God overcomes the world. Notice the word “overcomes” is in the present active tense. This means that the new creation in Christ Jesus overcomes and continues to overcome the world and its systems.

Nothing in this world should subdue the believer in Christ. We are more than conquerors according to God’s word. You were not born to be a victim in this life. You were born a victor and a winner; you were born to win. Failure is not in your genes; your genetic make up forbids anything called failure.

You can assault devils; you can assault enchantments; you can humiliate witchcraft; you can destroy cancer; you can destroy asthma; you can destroy toothache; you can frustrate poverty and lack. You are too big to be suffering the ills in this world.

Of course there are so many believers in Christ who are under the whiplash of satan and the harshness of this world. But through knowledge you can be put over. There is a way to release this overcoming life. The answer is found in our opening scripture: this is the victory that overcometh the world – our faith.

So, faith is the key to unleash the overcoming life in you. If you are going to walk in dominion over the forces of life, and humiliate sickness and disease, the revelation of the word of faith must be working in you. Until you come into terms with the word of faith, you will still be a victim in this life.

It is to every man according to his faith (Mathew 9:29). Your suffering is not because satan is strong. You are not prospering because the economy is bad. The missing link according to God’s word is faith. When faith is in operation, victory is in view.

Faith is a bulldozer that crashes anything that stands on its way. Faith is your shield that protects you against the wickedness in this world. The good news is that every child of God has faith. What you need to do is to learn the word of faith and how to make your faith to work. Listen to the word of faith; and then speak forth the word by faith and release the overcoming life.
