James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The power of prayer cannot be overemphasized. Would to God that the church will fully grasp the efficacy of prayer. With prayer we can change the course of events in our world. Thus those who pray are world changers. Effectual prayer avails much, opposes the enemy, and makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.
One time a woman at home immediately felt uneasy in her spirit and started to pray. She kept on praying and praying until the burden was lifted. When the children returned from school, they narrated how they were nearly killed by a car. The woman by her prayer was able to avert the satanic plot to kill her children.
Elijah by his prayer changed the course of nature and natural events. He was able to superimpose his faith on nature and brought rain in a time of drought. That’s not normal. This is power at work through effective prayer. And scripture tells us that Elijah was just like a man as we are with weaknesses and human frailties.
If folks had prayed, doctors who performed surgery and left substances in their bodies which later killed them wouldn’t have happened. You have to know that these things are worked in the spirit realm. But if one prays, either the one involved or an intercessor, such things can be averted. Do you know that the peace of a nation is dependent on prayer? This is why you must pray for the peace of your country (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
People who pray a lot have few problems. That’s the fact of life. If you want your problems to be reduced, develop the habit of praying always. Spend more time speaking tongues. This will help you to solve problems long before they ever showed up. And it will put you in control of things. Receive grace to develop a consistent prayer life today.
