CHOOSE THE PATH OF OBEDIENCE

Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. KJV

Jesus chose the path of obedience; He obeyed the Father even unto the death on the cross. And by His single act of obedience many were made righteous, and we are still reaping from His obedience. Had He refused to obey God, the whole world would have been lost. But thank God He chose the path of obedience. Today, we are fruits of His obedience.

You have no idea what your obedience to God’s word and instructions means to God and the kingdom of God. Many of us today are reaping from men who chose to obey the calling of God upon their lives. A man like Archbishop Benson Idahosah's legacy still lives on till today. His life of obedience has brought tremendous blessings to the whole world, especially the church in Africa. He pioneered many movements in the body of Christ; today many of us are proofs of his legacy.

Your disobedience does not only cost you pain and anguish, but it can affect others who are connected to you. Achan's disobedience to God’s word brought destruction to both him and his family. Disobedience will cause you to go in circles, because the way of transgressors is hard.

According to the scriptures, you are an obedient child (1 Peter 1:18); you are not a child of disobedience thus don’t live that life. Consider your ways before the Lord; examine your life in the word and see if you are walking in the light of the word of God. Straighten out every crooked path in your life. Your obedience is the proof of your love to Jesus. Choose to obey what God commands you to do, both in His word and by His Spirit, then you shall make your way prosperous and have good success.
