KEEP DOING THE RIGHT THINGS
KEEP DOING THE RIGHT THINGS

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
We are saved by grace through faith. But we were also saved unto good works. This means that God saved you to produce great works for the kingdom of God. Of course we are not saved by good works – but for sure, we are saved unto good works. Christians must of necessity do the right things. Your actions must be consistent with the life that you have received in Christ Jesus.
It pays to do what is right. Someone once said, “Sin will take you further than you want to go, and will cost you more than you want to pay.” There is no gain in doing the wrong things. It will only destroy you. For this reason God instructs us in His word to avoid the wrong things of this world. I get appalled at the speed at which people are chasing this passing and fading world. Some people have become too worldly that they don’t think of eternity.
Sometimes you look around you and see people cheating to get rich in life and you are tempted to do the same. Don’t follow that corrupted way of life. Keep doing what is right; your pay day will come. There is a drink I used to buy. But with time the manufacturers compromised on the quality – I stopped purchasing it.
This is what some manufacturing companies do – they start with a great product – then later lower the standard; and without realizing it, customers lose interest in once upon a time good product. And in business, the moment trust is broken, you are out.
As a child of God, you are the light of the world; you are the salt of the earth. Your life must inspire others to godly living. There is no use in keeping an overpaid change when you purchase a commodity or a service. You must of necessity return the excess payment to the seller. You are different. Don’t cheapen your life with some few coins.
Let your light shine before others. There is no use in cheating in an exam. The most appalling thing is parents who cheat for their wards to pass an exam. I have even heard about parents who paid heavily for their wards to get into better high schools which their children’s grade did not merit. You are not helping that child – you are raising a lazy fellow who will not respect the “law of process”. You are raising a child who would want to get what he wants by all means.
People like Joseph and Daniel in scripture always inspire me anytime I think about them. These gentlemen without the new birth and Holy Ghost, lived pure lives more than most tongue talking believers today. A lot of believers today have corrupted their faith with the wrong way of life. You just have to come out of the wrong lifestyle. Be different. It is time to repent – change your way of thinking to line up with the word of God. According to scripture, certain lifestyles should not be named among Christians. Be excellent in your character.
