DIVINE PATHWAYS TO DESTINY

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Saul’s journey or pathway to destiny is worth studying. Saul’s father’s donkeys got lost and he was sent to go find them. While they journeyed, they went through several towns and cities but did not find the donkeys. Saul suggested to the servant that they return home for his father would have stopped worrying about the asses and is now worrying about their whereabouts.

When they got to Zuph, Saul’s servant told him that in this city there is man of God, he is honourable, whatever he says comes to pass, perhaps he will show us our way. Saul hesitated but later went with his servant to see the man of God who was Samuel the prophet.

Interestingly, it was when they got to the city of Saul’s breakthrough that he said they should return. Should they have returned, Saul would have missed his destiny. Many have given up on the verge of their breakthrough. The prayer they prayed about for years; the day the breakthrough was coming, they give up, abandon project, and go some place else.

May God help us not to miss our seasons of breakthrough and success. Missing your season and opportunity of breakthrough can be costly.

Sometimes when you are so close to a breakthrough then it will seem as if all hell is broken lose. At that time, the devil wants to distract you and disconnect you from the purpose of God for your life. At such times, be careful of the decisions that you make. If you make the wrong decision, you could miss your destiny big time. Your sensitivity to the leading of the Spirit is very vital in fulfilling your destiny.

Prior to their arrival, God has already revealed to Samuel that he would send him a man from the tribe of Benjamin, who he shall anoint to be king of Israel. As at this time Israel has asked God for a king. And God was working things out to get them the king they have desired.

After meeting Samuel, before they left, Samuel took a flask of oil and anointed Saul and proclaimed him to be king over Israel. Look at the way God set up a man to walk right into his destiny. There is an orchestration to your life; don’t live anyhow – be smart with the Holy Ghost.

When Saul thought that he was looking for an ass, God was looking for a king to anoint. In his loss, he found his destiny. Saul was at the right place at the right time. He was led by the Holy Ghost into his destiny. God is the only one who can lead us into our destiny. We have to learn to trust our lives with Him to guide and lead us in His perfect will for our lives.
