YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME FOR GOD

Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Very often you will hear some believers tell you that, I don’t have time to go to church, or pray or get involved in evangelism. They will say, Pastor, these days I am very busy. Yet, you will find these same people making time for funerals, parties, weddings, etc. God gave us 24 hours in each day; and that is enough for each one of us to make something good out of it and serve Him acceptably.

I have read many stories of people on their death bed; the common thing you will hear from each one of them is that, they have lost value for anything in this world; what mattered to them is their eternal security and life. Most rich people on their sick bed will give up all their riches just to get well.

You realize that people really come into terms with reality when they are at the end of their lives. You don’t have to do that; you will waste time doing that. This is the time to make the best of the opportunity you have to serve God well, and at the same time pursue any worthwhile career of your choice.

I know of churches who have lawyers, engineers, architects, doctors, lecturers, pastoring these churches, alongside their secular work. Do you want to tell me that these people don’t have anything to do with their lives? They have just found out what is important in life and they have given themselves to it; and they are making great sacrifices for Jesus. And their reward is great in heaven; and on earth here, God rewards them well.

I have always been committed to the things of God all my life. Whether as a student or a worker, I have been on the go for Jesus. You can do the same. You really have time for God. What you need is proper arrangement of your priorities in life. You have to know what matters to you most in life and make time for it.

Unarguably, the world we live in today is much busier than ever. But you can still serve in the house of God and make time for intimate relationship and fellowship with God, and at the same time excel in your career. In life you make time for the things that are important to you. If God is important to you, you will make time for Him.
