UNDERSTANDING TIMES AND SEASONS

Daniel 9:2-3 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

When Daniel understood by the writing of the prophet Jeremiah that the desolation of Jerusalem was supposed to be 70 years, he set his face to seek God by prayer and supplications, fasting, sackcloth and ashes. And as he prayed, there was a breakthrough and Israel came out.

Even though their time of captivity was up according to the prophecy of Jeremiah, it took a man of understanding to press into God to get the deliverance that they needed. The fact that God has spoken somethings into your life does not mean that they a will automatically come to pass. Israel was supposed to be in Egypt for 400 years by God’s own mouth, but they spent 430 years.

You need to get the understanding of your destiny. You need an understanding of the times and seasons. When you look at your life, is it where God wants you to be at this given time according to the calendar of God?

If not, then you have to set your face to seek God in prayers and supplications with fasting. And just like Daniel, if you persist long enough, you will definitely breakthrough. Remember Daniel had to pray and fast for 21 days before the answer finally came. Get into the Spirit and log on to the mind of God concerning your life; and enforce the prophecies of God concerning your life.

If you don’t take spiritual responsibility for your life, you will be shocked how you will remain on one spot for a long time. Take responsibility for your destiny today.
