2 Corinthians 10:3-4
[3]For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
[4](For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Scriptures has already told us that our warfare is not carnal – that is, our battles are unseen. Hence it will be unwise to use physical weapons to fight spiritual battles.
Our warfare with the enemy and the world is not a warfare of guns and missiles. But it is a warfare of words, ideas, concepts and opinions. This is where the real warfare of the believer in Christ lies.
One thing you must practice is the art of talking. I am not talking about engaging in gossips or trading tales. I am referring to speaking “faith filled words”. The devil will come at you with his lies. The world will come at you with their ideologies and concepts full of unbelief.
You must learn to reply back anytime you hear a negative report or an evil word from the devil. The devil wants you to believe and affirm his lies and the deceit of the world. The more you keep quiet and you don’t talk, the more you are likely to believe what the devil and the world is saying.
At the temptation of Jesus, Jesus never let the devil went free – He replied him for every word he brought against Him. Jesus used the scriptures which is our main weapon in the conflicts of life to defeat the devil.
If you hear someone say, 1 out of 10 people have this disease, shout back and say, I have don’t have any disease for Himself (Jesus) took my infirmities (Mathew 8:17). When someone says, the economy is hard, reply by saying, my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Hallelujah!
Fill your heart and mind with the word of God for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Learn to speak faith filled words all the time. The more you do, the more you are affirming what Jesus did for you in His redemptive work thus putting out all the fiery darts of the wicked one. This one major practice of the kingdom has eluded many in the body of Christ.
