1 Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

I remember reading Luke 6:12 about Jesus praying alone all through the night; I desired an experience like that. I am not talking about corporate all night. I am talking about personal praying all through the night. I meditated on that scripture so many times till one day I stepped into that glory experience. I prayed from 12:00am – 6:00am. Ever since, I have spent several nights praying. Hallelujah! The word works!

Desire is the gateway for the miraculous. God’s goodies are for those who hunger, thirst, and desire after them. God has no time for those who are full. He only fills the hungry soul and quenches the thirsty soul.

Your desire for the miraculous must be strong and compelling. To the degree that you desire the miraculous is to that degree that you will receive. When you read about the miracles in the Bible, what comes to your mind? Do you desire to see such miracles in your life?

The woman with the issue of blood had a strong and compelling desire that drove her to come through the thick crowd and received her healing. When your desire is strong, you will go any length to receive your miracle. Passive people get nothing in life. The inheritance is for the violent for the violent takes it by force.

Queen Esther had a strong desire and was ready to perish. She put her life on the line. Even though it was unlawful for her to approach the king, because of her strong desire, she went in unto the king and got her desire.

When your desire is weak, you become passive in life. But when your desire is strong, you become active and agile. How strong is your desire for what you are believing God for? Your strong desire is what will push you to go the extra mile and do what you are supposed to do to get what you want. Cultivate a strong desire for the miraculous.
