FILL YOUR MIND WITH THE WORD OF GOD

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

God’s word is His wisdom. The more you fill your mind with the word of God, the more you fill your mind with God’s wisdom, and hence the wiser you become. Those who spend time in the word end up becoming wise. Those who don’t, end up becoming fools and making stupid and unwise choices, whose end is disaster.

There is seldom anyone you meet who is into any kind of evil practice that did not begin with a thought that came to them, either by hearing or seeing an image. Thought controls actions. If you want to change your actions, don’t change your actions – change your thoughts first.

A young man contacted me for help with masturbation. I asked him how it started. He couldn’t still figure out how the whole thing began. Then I asked him if he has been watching pornographic materials. And he replied, “yes.” There you have it! These materials contain devils. The more you are engaged with them, the more you open yourself to these devils, who are in to destroy your precious soul. You cannot toy with these things and live a sane life.

Most of these evil sexual practices that even some Christians and church leaders are caught up in, came through thoughts – they lost their guard over their thoughts – watched what they were not supposed to watch – listened to what they were not supposed to listen to. Then they got trapped by the enemy; and many are languishing in these evil practices, dying in secret. If you have been caught up in any of these things, you have to cry out for help. Seek a good pastor to help you out.

The truth is that you cannot be tempted with what you don’t know. The more you know something, the more you are susceptible to its temptations. It is not every image and thought that is good for your faith health. Sieve the things that you watch and hear. Your life is a reflection of the thoughts that you allow to dominate you. Your life goes in the way of your dominant thought.

Your mind is the battlefield. And you have to protect it at all costs. According to the CEV, Proverbs 4:23 says, “Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.” Do well to read and meditate on the word of God every day. Listen to anointed tapes on a daily basis. Read materials that inspires you to greatness. Don’t spend your precious time and money on things that will destroy you. Fill your mind with God’s word today. And the result will be God keeping you in perfect peace and prosperity. Hallelujah!
