TRUE WORSHIP IS FROM THE HEART

Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

What you say from your heart is what really matters. If what you are saying is not coming from your heart, you are faking it; and it lacks power. The worship of the Pharisees was just outward forms and religious rituals; and it was never from their hearts. They claimed one thing with their mouth but their heart was far from it.

This is one reason the word does not work for some people. They speak the word alright, but they do not believe it with their hearts. The word works for those who believe and say it. It is not only believing; neither is it only speaking. It is believing and speaking that brings salvation.

Salvation is simply attained by believing and confessing the Lordship of Jesus. Romans 10:9‭-‬10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬”

If you tell someone you love him but your heart is not in it, you are faking it; and that is hypocrisy; and God hates hypocrisy. When you tell your spouse or children, I love you, let it come deep from your heart. When you lift up your hands and say, I love you Jesus, let it come from deep within your heart.

Personally, I don’t know how to do things that my heart is not in it. If my heart is not in it, I will not do it; I don’t want to be a hypocrite, professing one thing with the mouth but the heart is far from it.

Every service that you do in the house of God that is not from your heart is useless, and you will lose your reward. God only rewards genuine service from a sincere and honest heart. Don’t serve in the house of God just for anyone to see that you are really serving God; God is not impressed. Serve because you love Jesus. And do it from your heart as unto the Lord and not to man.
