YIELD TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. KJV

Several years ago, a man of God by the name Dwight L. Moody attended a revival meeting as a young boy. The man holding the meeting had preached to about 50 people for about 5 days with no single person getting born again.

In one of the days in that meeting, the man of God said, “The world is yet to see what God can do with a man who is totally yielded to Him.” And D. L. Moody stood up and said, by the grace of God I will be that man.

And D. L. Moody with only a third-grade education saw hundreds of thousands of people born again by his ministry; preached before every king and queen of his day; travelled the world and shook nearly four continents; preached to hundreds of thousands of people before there was a microphone; and he has a Bible School till date in Chicago, still impacting the world. Hallelujah!

Right now, your life may not look much impactful and influential. But if you will yield your life to the Lord just like D. L. Moody did, I believe that God will use that life to impact the world and bring glory to His name.

The problem is not about God using people. The real problem is that there aren’t many folks who are totally yielded to the Holy Spirit. As long as you are pursuing your own agenda, you will not see the hand of God in your life. It takes complete yieldedness to the Lord to be useful in the hands of Jesus. I admonish you to yield your life completely to the Lord and see what He can do with it. Right now, pray and say, Holy Spirit, I yield my life to you; use it for your Glory. Glory to God!
