JESUS IS GOD'S APPOINTED AND CHOSEN ONE

Numbers 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

God chose Jesus to be the Savior of the world. And there is nothing anyone can do about it. Every other religious leader who has ever come into this world or will ever come that claims to be a way to God are all liars and fraudulent and misleading.

During Israel’s journey through the wilderness from Egypt to the Promised Land, there arose a murmuring and contention of the priesthood of Aaron – there were those who doubted Aaron as being the one chosen by God to serve as the high priest to atone for their sins.

Then God commanded Moses to tell each leader from each tribe to bring a rod which Moses laid before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness. Anyone who was chosen by God will have his rod bud and blossom by the next day. By the next day, Aaron’s rod had budded and blossomed with almonds on it. Thus the contention over the priesthood of Aaron ceased.

Aaron is a picture of Jesus our high priest under the New Covenant, based on better promises. The rod blossoming is a picture of the resurrection Jesus Christ – life from the dead – life from a dead rod.

Jesus’ resurrection from the dead is one great act that quenches all contentions about He being the chosen one of God to bring salvation to humanity. There is no man who has been able to replicate the resurrection of Christ. All those who were raised from the dead died again.

Only Jesus rose from the dead and He is still alive forever more. Today, when we call upon His name we see Him do exactly what He did while He walked on this earth many years ago. Hallelujah!
