REVOLVE THE WORD IN YOUR MIND

1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. KJV

This is an advice that a veteran of the gospel of Jesus Christ gave to young Pastor Timothy. Apostle Paul told his protégé to meditate on the word and give himself wholly to it. And in doing that his profiting will appear to all.

The word “meditate” from our opening scripture is from the Greek word “meletao”, which according to Strong means to revolve in the mind. Hallelujah! We are to revolve the word in our minds for a successful life in Christ Jesus.

The word “profiting” is from the Greek word “prokope” which according to Strong means progress, advancement, furtherance and profit. This is what revolving the word in your mind brings to you.

It is a statistical fact that only few folks in the body of Christ make time to meditate on the word intentionally. Others who try to read the Bible or listen to tapes and read anointed books rarely meditate – taking the word and tossing it in their minds – muttering and pondering on the word.

If you don’t meditate on the word day and night, you will miss out on a lot of things that Spirit of God would want to get across to you. Don’t just read your Bible. Take the portion that speaks to you and meditate. While you meditate, you will receive revelations and wisdom; then your profiting will appear to all men. Hallelujah!
