Psalm 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: Let them lead me; Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. KJV
Elijah was a mighty prophet of God. This was the man who locked the heavens for three and half years without dew nor rain. He challenged the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel and called down fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice.
After the Mount Carmel contest, Jezebel sent a note of threat to Elijah. Upon hearing that, Elijah took off to Mount Horeb. Then God appeared to him and asked him what he was doing in the cave. Then he replied, that the people of the land has forsaken Jehovah, thrown down His altars and killed all His prophets – and I am the only one left.
God replied that, I have 7000 prophets in the land who has not bowed the knee to Baal not kissed his image. It was clear that Elijah was in deception. He thought he was the only prophet in town doing mighty things for God.
This Elijah’s deception is also happening in this present world. When you think you are the only one that God is using, and that you only know everything about God, you are in deception. Some people behave as if they have the monopoly of God’s treasury house of wisdom and knowledge and revelation.
I believe in every city and town God has people who are genuinely calling upon Him. No matter how corrupt a society is, there are people there who are serving the Lord in truth and spirit. Not everyone is corrupt; not everyone is prayerless; not everyone is covetous; not everyone is cheating; not everyone is immoral. Not everyone is out there living anyhow.
There are still the Daniels, Joseph, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego around in this world. God has His own remnant in every quarter. And by them He will take His kingdom everywhere. Decide to be among the remnants of God!
