GOD IS PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS

Ruth 3:18 Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.

The whole book of Ruth is a love story which typifies the Lord Jesus Christ and His beautiful (bride) church. It is one amazing story in the scriptures that shows how God can take a commoner and cause him or her to inherit substance. Ruth was a bereaved widow with second class citizenship in Israel. But because she trusted in the God of Israel, God blessed her and she became an ancestor of Jesus Christ.

From our opening scripture, Naomi in this context is a type of the Holy Spirit; while Ruth is a type of the church; Boaz is a type of Jesus. What the Holy Spirit is telling the church is: Relax and let me do the work. Jesus did not rest until He saved you. On the cross when He cried, “It is finished”, He bowed His head and rested. He found His rest in saving you.

This shows how Jesus is passionate about your success more than you desire. And the key to this prosperity is resting in the Lord. Naomi told Ruth that Boaz will not rest until he has redeemed her. When you trust Jesus’ righteousness instead of working it, you are resting. When you walk by faith instead of works, you are resting. When you try to do things your own way, you are not resting. When you don’t function in the anointing you are not resting – you are sweating real hard. When you pray in the Holy Spirit you take your rest. If you refuse to rest in life, where you find yourself is the hospital bed. Take your rest! Rest in His finished work.
