YOU ARE HIS JOY!

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Man was never made to get sick, grow old and die. Suffering was not part of God’s dream for man when He made him. God had something great in store for man when He was made. The Almighty God made man for His pleasure; this implies that we are His delight. Get to know God’s heart concerning your life; you have to know His heart beat for you. You are His delight and rejoicing.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God is not the one putting sickness on people. If He is the one putting sickness on people and at the same time taking it off, then He is a loser. But thank God He is a good God who has great plans for His kids. Jeremiah clearly reveals God’s plan for man:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God is not the one responsible for the wars, tsunamis, terrorist attack, earthquakes etc. These are not the acts of God as the world would have us believe. You have to know that we live in a fallen world where everything is gravitating toward disorder.

God made man a prosperous person. I know today folks say that God prospers us because of the spread of the gospel of Jesus. I have no problem when it is applied appropriately. In the beginning when God created man and placed him abundance, there was no gospel to be preached.

It tells you that God blessed man because of His love for him. God’s desire is to see man do well. No father will love to see his son suffer through life and die. One of the thrills that I have is when I see my little kids making progress in their development. When I see them being able to pronounce and spell new words I am thrilled; when I see them moving from crawling to walking, my heart is filled with joy. Every development I see about them just excites me.

In the same manner, God’s primary purpose for our prosperity is to bring Him joy; God’s original plan can never change.

Of course today things have changed and there is the need to preach the gospel all over the world to bring men into the kingdom of God. And it will require huge financial power to accomplish this all important task. Hence if a child of God’s prosperity does not contribute to the spread of the gospel of Christ, then to me, that prosperity is useless.
