MAN FELL FROM GLORY

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

When we say man fell in the garden, what do we mean? It means man was in an exalted position of glory and honour, and fell from that high position to a depraved and degraded state. Man fell from grace to grass. For the first time in Adam’s life, he confessed fear: And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself (Genesis 3:9‭-‬10)

Man fell from glory. Prior to the fall, man was in the class of God. He toed the path of Almighty God. Man was in absolute communion with God. God will come in the cool of the day to fellowship with man. Man was superior to all of God’s creation. Everything bowed to man’s authority. Adam was higher than angels, even higher than Lucifer at the time.

Why did man trade all this glorious privilege for something worthless that brought him destruction? It is amazing how man refuses God and chooses evil. May the Holy Ghost direct our hearts to always choose what is right and pleasing to Christ.

Thank God that Jesus came and died on the cross and rose on the third day, and not only restored what man used to have, but He did something more – made us new creations with resurrection life and gave us a higher authority than what Adam had in the beginning.

What we have today is better than what Adam had. Adam’s authority was only limited to the earth. But our authority as new creations, covers both the earth, beneath the earth and in the heavens. Hallelujah!
