INSTRUCTIONS OF THE SPIRIT

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. KJV
There is the instructions of the word as it is revealed in the scriptures which we are supposed to live by. But there are also specific instructions given by the Spirit to each of us on a personal level – this is God’s personal word to you. For instance, you cannot find directly in the scriptures who to marry, what business to do, what city to live in, etc. It will take the Holy Spirit to instruct you on these things.
In order to flourish well in this kingdom, you will require both the instructions of the scriptures and the Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches you what to do and how to do it. Our walk with God is by divine instruction. If you are not instructed in the kingdom, you will not go that far with God.
What instructions are you living by as a believer in Christ Jesus? What instructions of the Spirit governs your spiritual life, ministry, finances, career, marriage, etc.? What are the instructions of the Spirit that you have been given to live by?
Abraham was told to leave his father’s house; he was asked by God to offer up his only beloved son, Isaac. Elijah was told to go to Zarephath. Isaac was instructed to stay in Gerar. Joshua was asked to encompass the wall of Jericho. Moses crossed the Red Sea with a rod. When it came to Joshua he was instructed to use the feet of the priests bearing the ark.
Today, there are so many things we do in the church. Are they instructed by the Spirit? Or do we just come up with an idea of our own to run God’s economy?
You have to press into the Spirit to know His mind concerning your life. In the realm of the Spirit, there are no guess work – you will have to get it right – it is about accuracy and precision. And when the Spirit instructs you, there will be peace and joy in your life. Hallelujah!
