DIVINE PROTECTION THROUGH THE ANOINTING

Psalms 89:22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

Today, you don’t really need a Prophet to tell you that we are living in perilous times. What the Apostle Paul predicted in 2 Timothy 3 are happening all around us. The news is filled with one evil or the other. Just recently in this country, we have seen some massive destruction of human lives, the Kintampo disaster is still fresh in our memory. The terrorist attack in London recently is still running in the news. One wonders where this world is heading toward.

Now in the midst of all these upheavals, what is God’s plan for His children? God never intended for His children to suffer what the world suffers. God in His infinite wisdom has made a way of escape for the church of Jesus Christ. We are not supposed to suffer what the world suffers. We have been made partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:3).

One major function of the anointing of God in your life is that it repels evil and wicked forces from your life. The anointing preserves the believer in Christ. Our opening scripture says, because of the anointing in the verse 20 of the same scripture, the enemy shall not exact upon you nor afflict you. This is one reason why you have to so connect to the anointing of God on your life. The fact is that you can still be anointed and die the fool’s death if you don’t connect properly to the anointing through the operation of wisdom.

The Psalmist said, He anointed my head with oil. David was the one who wrote that Psalm. And being a shepherd boy, he knew the importance of the oil on the sheep. In the Middle East, I understand shepherds anointed their sheep with oil to prevent flies from disturbing them. Flies speaks of demons. In essence, the anointing is that divine element that repels demonic activity in your life. So even though the devil wish to destroy you, because of the anointing, he cannot carry out his wicked schemes against you.

Now you have to be conscious of this truth in a deeper way for it to work for you. You have to believe that when the Holy Ghost came upon you, you were anointed. You have to believe in the anointing to repel evil away from you. Release this anointing upon all that you have to preserve them. When you step out, tell yourself “the Lord’s anointed is going out to win”. God wants to preserve you from all the evil in this world. My prayer for you is that, none of the evil going on around the world will locate you. No plague shall be upon you and your household.
