Pastor Victor
Matthew 20:28 Like the Son of Man, who did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life to redeem many people.” GNB
It is estimated that in every church, only 25% of the members are active and serving to make the church go forward. The rest of the 75% are just spectators. This is in line with the parable of the sower that Jesus gave in Mathew 13. Among the grounds, only one out of four which equals to 25% produced a crop. The rest of the 75% did not produce anything.
The responsibility of the Pastor therefore is to find ways and means to get the rest 75% committed to the work of Christ. And this requires effective mobilization where the Pastor has to do an in reach program to reach out to those uncommitted folks. Interestingly, some of those 75% will get committed if the Pastor talk to them and inspire them.
The question to you is that what are you doing in the house of God? Are you just going to church and warming up the pews? If you are not doing anything in the house of God, then you are missing big time. There is joy in kingdom service. You must do something in the house of God.
The Father’s house is a place of service. In the tabernacle of Moses, there were no seats. Scripture says, the priests stood daily ministering; there was no place for sitting. The Father’s house is a place of service. Idling in the house of God is not the right way to go. Let your impact be felt in whichever ministry you find yourself.
The work of Christ is too big for one man to do it. It will take a lot of workforce to accomplish this kingdom task. There is just too much to be done. Thus to sit down and do nothing in the house of God is criminal.
Find a ministry where they will give you something to do. Bishop Dag Heward Mills said, that could be the only thing you may do in life. Make yourself available.
