STRIVING FOR ELEVATION!

Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out. Joshua 17:13 KJV

Elevation means being lifted from one level to the other; it is about changing levels and moving from one level of glory to another. If you have ever used an elevator, you would realize that it takes you from one level to the other. In the kingdom of God, we can make giant strides by the Spirit, as we change levels.

It is necessary you grow in the kingdom of God. Your mountains never change. What need to change for the mountain to move is you. You can cry all that you can, if you don't grow there are certain things that you cannot do them. There are certain things we will not be able to do them unless we grow. If you don't grow you cannot do much. This is an eternal principle of the kingdom that no one can change it.

The children of Israel did not take the promised land all at once. As they grew and waxed strong, they put the Canaanites to tribute. You will notice that the Canaanites did not change; it was Israel that needed to wax strong. And when they did, they subdued their enemies and put them to tribute.

This is where personal responsibility comes in; you must make up your mind to be responsible in life. When you see the need to grow, it will necessitate you to start doing things that will propel you forward.

For elevation to take place, you must grow into it. How will you grow if you don't pray, if you don't study the word for yourself? If you are ready to grow, you will be willing to pay certain prices to get there. If you grow, money will come to you; if you grow, people will look for you.

If you don't grow, you can't subdue your mountains. Push yourself to grow. Attend seminars, conferences some of which you might have to pay; others too are free. Buy books and invest in your mind. In growing, do these three things:
· Make the decision that you want to grow in your career, ministry, etc.
· Set goals for your growth. How far do you want to go?
· Do what will necessitate your growth and elevation.
