THE CROSS WILL KEEP YOU IN CHECK

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32 KJV
There are many believers in Christ who are bitter against God. Some even think God is against their progress in life. They ask questions like, “why did God allow this evil to happen to me? He should have stopped this evil from happening.” Some are complaining and have even stopped going to church because of some unanswered prayer.
This posture by many is not right and it is very dangerous. Check through the scriptures; everyone who complained and murmured against God was destroyed; those who complained in the wilderness went in circles and eventually got wasted.
The reason people pitch their tent against God is that they lack the revelation of the cross.
The revelation of the cross will certainly keep you in check. When you are tempted to complain and murmur because of delayed answer in prayer, look at the cross: if God did not withhold Jesus from you why would He hold anything back from you? When you are tempted to sin against God, remember the cross – see how God through Christ has already delivered you from sin; see how sin has lost its power over you through the cross.
If things are not working for you, God cannot be the one responsible for it. The very fact that it is working for others defeats all excuses. The smartest thing to do is to find out how others are making it in the kingdom. You've got to know that God is always on your side and He will not withhold any good thing from you. If He gave you Jesus, there is nothing He will withhold from you because, there is nothing bigger than Jesus.
You have to know that you have a role to play in seeing redemptive provisions manifest in your life. Faith is your responsibility. And when you put your faith to work, the power of redemption is released to you. You have to consciously get into the word to know your rights and privileges in Christ and take advantage of them by faith. Always keep your eyes on the cross.
