Deuteronomy 14:21 Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
God commanded Israel not to eat of animals that dies of itself; it implies that they should not eat any animal that was not slain; God wants blood to be shed before eating is done. When an animal dies of itself, blood is not shed; and such meat could be dangerous for food.
There is a reason why animals are killed with knife before preparing it for meal. But God was looking beyond the medical implications of not killing an animal by shedding of blood for food. There are no insignificant details in the Bible.
Scripture says, without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 10:22). And the life of the flesh is in the blood. Thus when blood is not shed, life is not poured forth.
What God is saying is that, we should not feed from teachings that lacked blood. Any teaching that does not have the blood of Jesus on it is death to your soul; you are not supposed to feed from it. Any teaching that is not consistent with the cross and Christ’s redemptive work is death to you; don’t feed from such ministries.
Every teaching you hear must be Christ centered and cross centered. Any teaching that puts the believer’s salvation in an uncertain mode is dangerous. We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). Any teaching that says healing is not for today or God does not heal all the time is a dangerous teaching. Any teaching that says that there is no believer who is righteous is dangerous. In Christ, we are the righteousness of God.
You must watch the things that you allow into your soul and spirit. One wrong doctrine can destroy your life. Don’t joke with doctrines. Filter every teaching you hear with the cross.
