WHAT CAN WE DO WITHOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES?

Isaiah 28:11‭-‬12 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.‬‬

One particular night, after praying in tongues for a while, I asked myself, what can we do without speaking in tongues? I was just enjoying speaking in tongues. As I spoke in tongues that night, I found myself ministering to my family. I laid hands on my kids speaking words full of faith and power. Then I turned to my wife, blessing her life, speaking words of life.

As a believer in Christ, you cannot do without speaking in tongues. If you don’t spend adequate time speaking in tongues on a consistent basis, you will not be able to live the victorious life in Christ. Our opening scripture says, speaking in tongues is the rest and refreshing, that He may cause the weary to rest.

Speaking in tongues emboldens  you. As you speak in tongues, you are emboldened; your fears and doubts begin to disappear and fade away. Are you discouraged? Are you fearful? Are you full of doubts? Spend quality time speaking in tongues. Just continue to speak in tongues until the fears disappears.

When you speak in tongues, you are releasing missiles against the enemy. The devil cannot stand speaking in tongues. The believer who spends quality time speaking in tongues will eventually have fewer attacks. This is simply because, speaking in tongues puts you on the offense. You get to neutralize problems long before they ever show up.

Speaking in tongues brings you revelation and insight. Are you in a crossroad and you don’t know what to do? I counsel you in the name of Jesus to speak in tongues. As you spend time speaking in tongues, revelations and deep words will begin to well up in your spirit; you will begin to receive counsel from within; you will know what to do.

Speaking in tongues promotes spiritual growth. Believers who speak in tongues often will grow faster than those who don’t. If you want to grow quick in the kingdom of God, spend time speaking tongues.

These are just a few benefits of speaking in tongues. If you are not speaking in tongues as a believer in Christ, seek to speak in tongues. Desire the gift of tongues and ask the Lord to give it to you and He will give it to you.
