JESUS CAME TO GIVE US LIFE

John 10:10-11 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

This is by far the peak of redemption. Jesus came to give us life; this is life from the dead. In Adam we all died; this is spiritual death. When Adam sinned, death came upon all men not by the effort of any man but because of Adam's sin of disobedience. Rom 5:17 says, “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

Every man born into this world was born into death. It just happens automatically. In the mind of justice, all men yet unborn died with Adam because of Adam's sin. Hence all unbelievers are living in the realm of death. It does not matter the way an unbeliever may be garnished on the outside; the truth is that, he is a dead man.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

God quickened us who were dead in trespasses and sins. The word 'quickened' in the Greek is "suzoopieo" which means to be made alive together. "Zoopieo" means to give life or make alive. It implies giving life to something that was once dead. While "su" in the Greek means “together”. Hence this speaks of a joint resurrection. We were made alive together with Christ. Just like in Adam we all died, on the same token, in Christ, we were all made alive. We died with and in Christ. And we were made alive in and with Christ. Now the Apostle John declares:

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
The word "passed" in the Greek is "metabaino" which means "change of place". "Meta" means change while "baino" means place. This implies that we've changed our place of death to a place called life; life in Christ.

Now this gives us a different understanding; death is a place while life is also a place; these are realms of living. You cannot live in these two realms at the same time. As a child of God, you may experience death things; it could be death in finances, health or marriage. But that does not mean you are in the realm of death.

The truth is that all believers were born into life but it is just that they do not know how to release or enjoy this life; satan is only playing on their ignorance. This is why you must make it a priority to study the word of God in order to know your rights in Christ. When you get a hold of this truth, you will be able to reduce death to a manageable size.

Death has no more power over us. Death has been abolished; it has been completely paralyzed and annihilated by Jesus. His resurrection was what brought us life. We have been made alive forever in Christ. We are superior to death. We ought to experience life in health, finances, marriage, ministry etc. Kingdom life is all about enjoying the life of Christ.
