SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS A FAITH CATALYST

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

This is one of the most popular scriptures among Charismatics and probably Pentecostals. It is a powerful scripture. Here we see the link between faith and praying in the Holy Ghost. Understanding this link and relationship will put you over as a child of God.

Faith is the live wire of the church; without it, all our prayers, preaching, and all that we do are just religious rituals. Without faith Christianity is just another dead religion like the rest of the religions of the world. Faith is what marks the church out from the rest of the pack. That’s how important faith is to the church of Jesus Christ. Sometimes when I see or hear believers who mock faith people, I feel sorry for them.

Scripture says, faith is the victory; not “a victory” but “the victory”. If you don’t take the subject of faith seriously, you will struggle in life. All great men of God have come this far because of their faith. Scripture says, by faith they subdued kingdoms, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, wrought righteousness etc.

As powerful as faith is to the believer in Christ, it needs enhancers for full performance. You must get this understanding. And speaking in tongues is one of those enhancers or catalysts of faith. It will be very difficult to walk in faith without the agency of speaking in tongues, which is praying in the Holy Ghost. You realise that anytime you spend quality time speaking in tongues, there is such a boldness and confidence on your inside; you see yourself above the storms of this life.

If you really want your faith to work effectively, spend quality time praying in the Holy Ghost. If there is one thing I do a lot, it is speaking in tongues. And as I speak in other tongues, all kinds of things begin to happen.

But you have to get this fact: speaking in tongues does not produce faith; it only serves as a catalyst. Faith only comes via God’s word. Get into the word and receive it; then spend quality time speaking in tongues; and you will be empowered to effectively deploy your faith for a life of victory.
