Proverbs 18:17 Any story sounds true until someone tells the other side and sets the record straight. TLB

For every move of God, the devil always want to find ways and means to corrupt it. When the faith movement came, folks took the teachings of faith to the extreme. One lady preacher used Mark 11:23 to claim Kenneth Copeland since it says, you will have whatever you say. In fact, she went ahead and had a wedding ceremony for that matter even though Kenneth Copeland was not present. This is foolishness gone to sea!

The error was that she used that scripture in isolation of other scriptures that says, what God has joined together let no man put asunder. Well, it did not work. Error is simply pushing a truth to the extreme and to the exclusion of other truths. Unfortunately, I see the same thing happening to the Grace Movement. Many grace teachers are pushing the teaching of grace to the extreme to the exclusion of other truths.

When you teach that we are not supposed to tithe under grace, you are not rightly dividing the truth. Tithing came before the law hence has nothing to do with the law. Melchisedec received tithes from Abraham the father of us all. Jesus came in the order and rank of Melchisedec thus Jesus is still receiving tithes today. And our tithes is a witness that Jesus is still alive.

Hebrews 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

We have to protect the grace revolution from extremists. Kenneth Hagin said, in order to walk in truth you have to stay in the middle of the road. If you push too far you get into the ditch. When you teach, keep in mind the whole body of truth and the whole counsel of God.

In teaching grace, faith cannot be ignored. You get into error when you do not balance grace with faith. You do not balance grace with the law but with faith. The balance of the New Testament is, we are saved by grace through faith. Jesus died for the whole world; that’s grace; but not all men are saved. They have to put faith in what grace has given them. This is balance and it is truth.

Do not teach scriptures to the exclusion of other truths. Keep all truths in mind when you teach the word of God. This is the way to stay in truth and avoid error and excesses. God desires that we walk in truth hence He sent us the Spirit of truth to guide us. Learn to yield to the Holy Ghost and you will not walk in darkness.
