THE RESUME OF THE BELIEVER

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

A resume is simply a document that contains the personal information of an individual as regards to educational qualifications, working experience, interests, skills, qualities etc. When you pick someone’s resume, you immediately get to know who the person is and what he can do. And employers use that to hire people for their work.

In Christ also, the believer has a resume; what makes him a believer. I am talking about the uniqueness of the believer; what sets him apart from the world. Our opening scripture lets us know that if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. The believer is a new creation. He is not the reformation of the old man but an entirely new specie of being that never existed before.

The believer was born without sin; he was created in righteousness and true holiness. The sin nature is completely dead and passed away. It has no power over the new man in Christ. This new creation has no past; he is entirely new. He is not connected to the old lineage of Adam. All that was in Adam cannot be found in him. But all that is found in Christ is found in him.

The believer was born without the curse. All curses including generational curses are not supposed to work in the life of the believer. Unfortunately, these things are happening. It is a fact that there are new creations living under the whiplash of generational curses. It ought not to be so. Like every other curse, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law which includes generational curses.

Should in case you see traces of generational curses in your family working in your life, you need to take your authority and resist the devil and he will flee from you. The truth is that you were born without the curse. But satan takes advantage of people’s ignorance and effect curses in their families and in their lives.

There are countless believers suffering under the whiplash of generational curses. That’s a fact. But again, it ought not to be so because they are not under the curse but under the blessing. The devil is only playing on their ignorance of their redemptive rights.

The new creation is more than a conqueror. He cannot be separated from the love of God. He is one with the Lord. He is the righteousness of God. He is already blessed. His address is Zion, the city of the living of God. He is just like Jesus. He has all the faith needed for the victorious life in Christ. This is your resume as a believer. Confess them and affirm them in your life. Praise God!
