Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

How you will relate with someone that you meet for the first time will probably depend on what you have heard about him. If you have been told nice things about the person, you will have respect and admiration for him.

In the same way, your estimation of Jesus depends on what you have heard about Him.

Something striking about the healing of the woman with the issue of blood: she said to herself, if I may but touch the hem of His garment I shall be healed. She wasn’t looking for Jesus to lay hands on her. All she wanted was to touch the hem of His garment.

What the woman was saying in essence was that, this man is so powerful that, touching the hem of His garment is enough for my healing.

What informed this high level of estimation she had for Jesus? It was what she had heard about Jesus.

What have you been hearing about Jesus? Is it that you believe that He is just a prophet, teacher or some nice Jewish man? Do you believe that He just saved you only from your past sins?

My friend, Jesus is the Son of God and God in flesh. And His death paid for your entire life of sins (past, present and future). Make sure you are hearing the right message about Jesus.
