STIRRINGS BRING SALVATION!

Psalms 80:2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. KJV

You must understand that life in the Old Testament is different from the one under the New Covenant of Grace. From our opening scripture, the Psalmist prayed that God would stir up Himself and come and save them. This implies that anytime God stirs up Himself, the resultant effect is that salvation which is healing, miracles, prosperity, and wholeness is what happens.

So, the key thing here is to get God to stir up Himself. But in the New Testament, if you are going to wait on God or even ask Him to stir up Himself so that you will enjoy salvation, you will wait for eternity. One major truth that you need to know is that, under the New Testament the work is finished, thus we are already standing in the position of victory.

How do you get God to stir up Himself in the New Testament? Colossians 1:26 says, ….Christ in you the hope of glory. And in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. This implies that all of God resides in you. Thus you stir up God from within you under the New Testament.

Apostle Paul counselled young Pastor Timothy thus: …..thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. (2 Timothy 1:6). From the foregoing, you are the one to stir up the power of God on your inside. The power is already in you the day you received the Holy Ghost. But that power must be put to work to produce results. And what you receive from God is to the degree that power is working in you (Ephesians 3:20).

One of the quickest ways to stir up the power is to speak in other tongues. 1 Corinthians 14:4 says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;…..” If you want to see the power of God pray more often in tongues – I mean not just some 15 minutes – if you want real results, you would have to spend a considerable amount of time speaking in tongues. Ninety percent of my personal prayer is in tongues.

Anytime the water of the pool of Bethesda was stirred, there was healing for anyone who first jumped in. Your miracle is waiting for your stirring. Stir up the power in you through speaking in tongues and meditation of the word of God and you will see tremendous things happen in your life and ministry.
