2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

One time I sat in a taxi while going home. While we journeyed, I gave the driver one of our publication materials. And the title was “Learning to prosper”. As soon as the driver saw the title, he asked me, are you a prosperity preacher? “Yes”, I replied. The he said, I hate prosperity preachers. “Why?”, I enquired. He said, they don’t preach sin; they are not helping people to go to heaven.

Then I asked him what he was doing on a Sunday morning driving and not in church. Of course he couldn’t answer. There are many of such people in the church and around the world. These are people who oppose themselves because they don’t have a full knowledge of the truth. They are not just opposing the truth but opposing their own prosperity.

There is no where in the New Testament that God commands us to preach sin. Jesus told us to preach the gospel to the whole world. And what is gospel? Gospel simply means good news. Good news of what? Good news of what Jesus came to do for us in His finished work on the cross.

Religion brainwashes people. How can you be working for money on Sunday morning and still hate those whom God has sent to prosper you? This is blindness gone to sea. And you see, the child of God is not supposed to walk in hatred, let alone hating God’s own servants.

God never called you to be a religious person. You are a kingdom citizen; you are royalty with rights and privileges. And get to know the word and live by the word; don’t allow religion to brain wash you.

God’s perfect will is for you to prosper. This is what you need to believe. Just because something sounds nice does not make it scriptural. You have to know exactly what the word says concerning every situation. And build your life on the word and not on religious assumptions.
