GRACE ESTABLISHES YOUR GOINGS

Psalms 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Where you stand and walk as a believer in Christ is vital for your victory in the affairs of life. If you are standing on a miry ground, you don’t have firmness and stability in your legs. You will become unstable and your goings are not established or made strong. In fact, you can even fall while you walk and hurt yourself.

Our opening scripture is a beautiful one that shows us what Christ did for us when He died and rose again. He brought us out of the pit of death and hell and set us on a rock (solid ground), and by that, He established our goings.

That rock or solid ground is the revelation of Christ or grace. Any doctrine and teaching that is not consistent with grace is a miry ground; any teaching that puts the salvation and victory of the believer in doubt is a miry ground. You cannot build your faith on this shaky and unstable ground.

Our salvation is purely by grace through faith. Our acceptance of God and the righteousness we received from Him at new birth is all based on grace. No amount of good works can grant us acceptance before this all holy God. Always approach God on the basis of His grace and you will receive freely. Ruth became blessed when she pursued grace.

Some believers are asking God for some level of anointing they might have seen on a man of God. To them, they have to attain to some level of spirituality and prayer and holiness before God will give it to them. Let me ask you: what level of holiness or prayer did you attain before God gave you the Holy Ghost? You simply believed and God gave you His Spirit; it is all by the hearing of faith and not of works.

If God gave you the greater blessing (Holy Ghost) without any serious fasting and prayers, how much more an anointing (the lesser one) you crave on a man of God? What you need is desire and faith to tap into that anointing. Of course I believe prayer is a necessary factor in walking in the anointing, but receiving that anointing is simply by faith. God looks at your desire and releases His jewels to you.

The power that flowed through Jesus blessed those who received because they believed. Those who did not believe got nothing. Stand on grace grounds! See the awesome goodness of God and His lavished grace pouring on you, all because He loves you. Bask in the warmth of His grace and love, and your goings (your dally walk) will be firmly established, punctuated with unending victories all the way.
