Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

The very first time I set my eyes on Pastor Chris Oyakhilome on television, something in me got hooked on to his ministry. I loved everything about the man and his ministry. No one had to introduce his ministry to me.

I remember one time a friend of mine brought several tapes of Andrew Wommack to me. When I started listening to the tapes, I couldn’t get away from it. In fact, I listened to only his tapes for about 6 months on a daily basis. Again, something in me got connected to his teaching ministry.

Over the years, by the grace of God, God has brought other anointed teachers of the word to my life who have been a great blessing to me and my ministry. Many of the things I teach, I learnt them from my teachers.

However, there are other genuine anointed teachers that I stumbled into their tapes but couldn’t connect, in as much as I wanted what they were offering. I remember one dear woman of God: I struggled for about 30 minutes trying to listen but I couldn’t connect.

Later on it dawned on me that not every anointed teacher is sent to me. As much as I need to stay opened, I also I have to discern who to listen to.

Not every teacher is sent to you. Stick to teachers that you easily connect with. Discern them by the Spirit and stay with them.
