CONFESS YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Over the decades, there have been a lot of teaching on confession of sins. For some people it is a big deal; and they emphasise on it greatly. Have you ever wondered why there have been less teaching on confession of righteousness?

It is simple: the devil want people to be more conscious of their sins than they are of their righteousness in Christ Jesus. How sad! Many believers and even preachers have fallen for the devil’s trap by emphasising greatly on confession of sins rather confession of righteousness.

Being conscious of your sins only paralyses you and weakens your faith. Sin consciousness is more dangerous than sin itself. You see, sin has been defeated and not _“sin consciousness”_. It will take the renewal of your mind to deliver you from sin consciousness. Righteousness consciousness grants you boldness and empowers you to release your faith. The more righteousness conscious you are, the more powerful your faith will flow and you will see miracles.

Galatians 3:5 says, He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? You see where the emphasis should be! It should be on the righteousness by faith. The more conscious that you are righteous by faith, the more miracles you will experience.

It does not take any faith to confess your sins; but it will take a lot of faith to confess your righteousness in Christ, especially when you fail. Sometimes when you look at yourself in the flesh, you may not be able to confess that you are righteous. But you have to look at yourself in Christ, for as He is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17).

Spend a great deal of your time confessing your righteousness in Christ and not your works. Confess how much you have been already forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ. The more you do that, the more you will be established in righteousness and you shall be far from oppression. Hallelujah!
