YOUR LIPS MUST SPEAK WISDOM

 Song of Solomon 4:11 Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.

The more you study God’s word, the more you get to know who you are and how God wants you to live your life in Christ Jesus. Our opening scripture is another beautiful description of the bride of Christ which is the church. The CEV puts it this way: Your lips are a honeycomb; milk and honey flow from your tongue.......(Song of Solomon 4:11).

Honey speaks of wisdom and the word of God. Both are one and the same. God’s word is His wisdom. You cannot claim to be wise if you don’t know the Bible; I mean having a revelation of God’s word and its application. True wisdom only comes from God’s word. The more of the word you know, the wiser you become in matters concerning the kingdom of God.

You can be a professor and still speak foolishness; secular education does not make one wise. Take a good look at politicians around the world and some cannot even solve basic problems like sanitation, power, education in their respective countries. One wonders what happened to all their degrees. When you listen to some of this so called renowned politicians, their words just stink; you cannot trace any wisdom in them.

If you are ignorant of God’s word, you will end up speaking foolishness, things inconsistent with God’s word. The word says, your mouth drops as honeycomb. Wisdom ought to be flowing from your mouth. When you open your mouth to speak, it should be wisdom coming out.

For this reason, dedicate your life to the study of God’s word like never before-of necessity you must have teachings of tapes and books of anointed men of God. The more you listen and read these materials, the wiser you become. Practice the habit of reading and studying your Bible consistently.

Constantly enrich your life with the word of God, for out of the abundance of your heart your mouth will speak. You can only speak from the deposit in your heart. If the word is not in your heart, you cannot speak it. Wisdom demands that you put the word in you first; then you will have what to speak. Let wisdom flow from your lips that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known unto the principalities and powers by the church. Praise God!
