Luke 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
A few hours before the arrest of Jesus, He went to the garden of Gethsemane and spent several hours in prayer. By the time He was done praying, He was ready to face the cross and all its attendant sufferings.
Many do not know that Prayer played a crucial role in redemption. It was that prayer that Jesus prayed in the garden that empowered Him to face the gruesomeness of the cross.
I believe the most important reason for prayer is empowerment. Prayer empowers the one who prays. Prayer strengthens you to do the things of God. Prayer is your spiritual fuel that gives you energy for kingdom activities.
As long as you don’t engage in prayer, you will not be empowered and if you are not empowered you will not be able to face life’s situations effectively.
A House of Prayer is a place of power. If you want to see God’s power in your life and ministry, tarry long in prayer. Anyone you see demonstrating power and he is not a praying person is an agent of darkness – he needs to be investigated.
Kingdom laws requires prayer as a protocol to be empowered.
