Jesus came into this world to save the lives of men. The mission statement of Jesus is unequivocal: I have come that they might have life; and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). In another place, Jesus said, The Son of man is come to save men’s lives.

Scripture tells us that Abraham and Sarah were stricken in age at one time, and it has ceased to be with her the manner of women. Yet God had promised this couple a son to be born by Sarah. Sarah’s womb was as good as dead – it was dead! But out of this dead womb came Isaac, whose name means “laughter”.

A lot of people started the year with all kinds of prophetic words for the year. Some even have prophetic words for each month of the year. The question is, how many of these prophetic words come to pass?

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
For some believers you cannot get away with the big sins, but you can get away with the little sins. This is not true with God. God’s eyes are too pure to behold evil; He cannot stand evil, it’s size notwithstanding. Our opening scripture is so clear on this. What it is saying is that, the man who is guilty of lying is as guilty as murder – you break one, you are guilty of all; this leaves no one with a chance to make it by himself.

Matthew 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Anyone can be great in his field of endeavour. One key that Jesus gave to us is to go and buy from those that sell. Who are you learning from? Who is inspiring you to greatness? In my journey of life, I have had mentors in my life who have inspired me to greatness. I have read books and listened to tapes of great men of God that I aspired to.
