Luke 18:5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

Our opening scripture is about the story of the judge and the widow in Luke 18. The widow's strength compared to the great judge is no match.

But she had something powerful - her Continual coming wore down the judge till the he had to give her the victory

There is power in consistency and persistence. Prayer and fasting ought to be done continuously.

One time prayer and fasting will not produce spiritual power and liberty. It will take continuous and consistent pressure through prayer and fasting to break down the enemy’s strength.

For everyday that we pray and fast, we are wearing the enemy and our problems away. For every anointed church service you attend, you are being built up and destroying the hold of the enemy on your life

Delilah used this strategy to wear down Samson till he told her all his secret. The enemy uses this strategy of consistent and persistent attack to wear down the believer in Christ.

We must also use the same approach to defeat the enemy. Our continual coming is what wearies the enemy and grants us the victory in Christ Jesus.

You fasted and prayed once and you didn't see the victory so you gave up. Spiritual things don't work like that. You need to persist and stretch in prayer and fasting till the results manifest. Hallelujah!
