Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Goliath of Gath the Philistine intimidated Israel morning and evening for forty days. 1 Samuel 17:16 says, “And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.

Compare the two scriptures above and you will see the striking difference. God's order of time in Genesis is “evening and morning”. Whiles the devil's order of time when Goliath was roaring is “morning and evening”.

There are no insignificant detail in scripture. Evening speaks of rest while day speaks of work. The devil's principle is "work to become”. God's principle is "work because you are".

One is "work to rest". The other "work from rest". The devil’s order: Work to become holy. God's order: Live holy because you are holy.

One is fighting for victory while the other is fighting from victory. God's order is always evening before morning. Rest before work. While the enemy operates with morning before evening. Work before rest

Choose wisely the principle to operate with. If you go by morning before evening, you will lose. If you go by evening before morning you will win.

Rest is the default mode of the believer. Rest in the finished work of Christ. Rest in His power. Rest in His provision, knowing God is control. As you do this, you will be empowered to live victoriously for Jesus.

Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
