DWELL IN THE CROSS
DWELL IN THE CROSS

Numbers 2:1-2 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
Every detail in the Bible is important for our understanding of the scriptures. Our walk on this earth ought to be the way God intended it for us. Israel in the wilderness is a picture of the church today; they were the Old Testament church. They serve as graphical illustrations for us today. This is the way Israel camped in the wilderness facing the tabernacle:
Eastside: Judah; Issachar; Zebulun
Southside: Reuben; Simeon; Gad
West: Ephraim; Manasseh; Benjamin
North: Dan; Asher; Napthali
The way by which Israel camped in the wilderness was in the form of a cross. This is a picture of dwelling and staying in the cross. We are to dwell in the cross. The cross should be where we live and abide.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
To dwell in the cross simply means living in what the cross has accomplished for us. All that Jesus did on the cross and His finished work is for our benefit and prosperity. There is no more work to be done again for your prosperity and peace of mind and health. All the work has been done by Jesus. What we need to do is to live in His victory and finished work by faith.
To live outside the cross is equal to death. Jesus is the life; in Him is the fullness of life. There is no other source of life apart from Jesus. The cross accomplished so much for you. In the cross is your health, peace, joy, and abundance. Take advantage of these blessings.
When the people disobeyed God in the wilderness and God sent fiery serpents and bit the people and they died, God instructed Moses to erect a brass serpent. As many that looked, were healed. Not looking equals death.
Now that brass serpent is a picture of Jesus’ death on the cross. The more we believe in what the cross has accomplished for us the more we are living in the cross. And the result is life and peace. Your sins have been forgiven, believe it. Your health has been accomplished, believe it. Your prosperity has been finished, believe it. And as you receive His grace, you will reign in this life.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
