WILL BEAUTIFY YOU WITH SALVATION
WILL BEAUTIFY YOU WITH SALVATION

Psalms 149:4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
There are two important things in this scripture I want you to take notice of: firstly, the Lord takes pleasure in you; and secondly He will beautify the meek with salvation. What a joy to know that God takes pleasure in the new creation, the born again believer in Christ.
What does it mean when the Bible says God takes pleasure in us? It simply means He delights in us; we are His delight and joy. That means when God looks at you His masterpiece and handiwork, He is excited at what He has made.
It does not matter what you might have done in life, the truth is God delights in you because you are His own. This was made possible through the cross when Jesus died and gave His life for us. Now the scriptures call us beloved of God; you are God's beloved (Jude 1:20). You have to believe this truth irrespective of the sins you have committed. God foreknew your sins long ago, and yet He sent Jesus to come and die for you. Now we are accepted in the beloved.
Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Believing this truth will put springs in your steps and give you rest in your conscience. God is pleased with you not be cause of your actions but on the account of Jesus. So there is nothing you can actually do for God to be displeased with you. He may not like your actions, but sure He is pleased with you because of Jesus. Hallelujah!
The second thing in the opening scripture says, He will beautify the meek with salvation. Wow! It implies that God garnishes and decorates our lives with salvation. The word “salvation” means wholeness, health, prosperity, sound mind, joy etc. These are the things God beautifies you with. What a life we have in Christ!
The Holy Ghost gives us the key to this life: He beautifies the meek. The key is meekness. When you walk in humility, the salvation that Jesus brought becomes yours. When you are teachable, ready to accept correction and rebuke, you set up yourself to enjoy the blessings of redemption.
You need to be humble enough to accept what Jesus did for you. To believe that your works is required for you to enjoy salvation is pride and arrogance; and God resist the proud but gives grace to the humble (1 Pet 5:5). Grace is for the humble. Hallelujah!
