FAITH COMETH BY HEARING

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
I love topical study. It is one of the quickest way to learn and grow in grace and in the truths concerning the kingdom of God. Topical study means studying of topics; and in this context, we are talking about Biblical subjects. The Bible is full of great topics for study. Some subjects include faith, meditation, love, evangelism, marriage, financial prosperity, and success in ministry.
One time I wanted to get strong in the subject of “Spiritual Authority”. I got myself tapes of men of God like Carlton Sharp, having being instructed too by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome on this subject, and coupled with other men of God. I chanced upon an article written by Watchman Née which was so detailed and contained a lot of material. Together with my Bible, after a thorough study, I was so inundated with God’s word; and it gave me great understanding and stability in my walk with God.
One reason why I have been so grounded in the gospel of grace is because I decided to study on grace. And God blessed me with lots of materials of anointed men of God like Joseph Prince and Andrew Wommack. I imbibed these tapes spanning hundreds of hours again and again. Now that’s a lot of discipline; but it paid off. And I am still doing it till today.
What do you want in life? Is it financial prosperity? Is it marital success? Or is it walking in divine health? The faith to accomplish these things only comes through hearing of the word of God. Someone said, “If you will listen to a subject for one hour each day in five years, you will be an expert in it.” I totally agree. You may be struggling in your finances; do not despair. Financial prosperity does not answer to fasting and prayers nor tears. It answers to faith in practice with regards to financial principles revealed in scripture.
Do what God told Cain to do: the answer is right at the door; it is not too far from you. Go get yourself some tapes and books on financial prosperity by anointed men of God. And coupled with your Bible, imbibe these materials into your system. Then promptly practice whatever instructions you may receive. You will never come out of that study the same again. I did it with my finances, and I have seen tremendous progress in my finances and even in the ministry which I have been privileged to oversee.
Faith cometh by hearing and not sitting down. Take steps today to improve the quality of your life by studying the right materials in the area where you need a change.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
