DON'T BE A CARNAL BELIEVER IN CHRIST!

1 Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
There is such thing as carnal Christians; and there is such thing as spiritual Christians. You have to decide whether to be a carnal believer or spiritual believer. Being born again does not necessarily mean that someone is spiritual.
A carnal Christian is simply one though born again, but he is dominated by his senses and carnal desires. Such person’s way of life is inconsistent with the word of God. Such individuals roll along with their feelings; these are the kind of the people that will tell you that, I will put my Bible aside and teach you a lesson.
Apostle Paul rebuked the Corinthian church for being carnal. Remember that this was the most gifted church in scripture; and yet they were carnal to the core. There was divisions and envying among them; and Apostle Paul called that carnal. They didn’t allow the word of God to dominate them.
So, you can even be the most praying and gifted believer on the block and still be carnal. Jesus said, the words that I speak unto you are “spirit and life”. Thus the more of the word that you know, the more spiritual you become. The less of the word that you know, the less spiritual you become.
You do not only have to study and meditate on the word; you have to allow the word to dictate your life; you have to come to the place where your desires and will is the word of God and nothing else; you are completely dominated by the word. Your actions and talk are word controlled and word guided.
Thus when you are offended by someone, instead of giving the person a piece of your mind, you rather act on the word by forgiving the person. Instead of becoming bitter, you rather allow the love of God to dominate your life. Instead of complaining of giving in the house of God, you rather allow the generosity of God to flow through you. Praise God!
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
