THE CROSS: SATAN'S DESTRUCTION

Judges 4:21 Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
The truth is satan dreads the gospel of grace which is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is one reason why he blinds people's minds not to receive its light. If the gospel is not glorious, satan will not waste his time trying to blind men from receiving it. When the true gospel is preached, lives are transformed, and yokes and burdens are lifted.
From our opening scripture, we were told how a woman named Jael killed Sisera, the commander of the army of Canaan. As at this time Israel was under the oppression of Jabin king of Canaan, because they have turned away from Jehovah. Then they cried unto the Lord and He raised Barak, a judge, who led them to fight against Sisera and his host.
During the fight, Sisera fled and went to Heber the Kenite where Jael received him. Later on, while Sisera was asleep, Jael drove a nail of the tent through his temples and he died. The man who oppressed Israel was killed by a woman with a nail. Wonderful! This shows you how weak satan and his cohorts are.
1 Corinthians 2:1-2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Just anyone of God's kids can humble satan. But what instrument was used to kill the enemy? It was a nail. The nail here is a picture of the cross, Jesus death and His finished work. This is the instrument that will humble satan any day and anytime. When we begin to preach how Jesus took our sickness and disease in His body on the cross (1 Pet 2:24), sicknesses and demons holding people sick will to bow out.
When we begin to preach how Jesus became poor that we might be made rich (2 Cor 8:9), poverty has no option but to bow. When we begin to preach how Jesus bore our sins in His own body that we might be made the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21), sinners are saved; and satan's hold of guilt and condemnation is broken from believers.
It is not our size, educational background, family lineage nor anything in the flesh that matters; because none of these things can move the devil. It is only the gospel of grace that satan dreads.
This is one reason why satan has raised preachers all over the world to attack the gospel of grace. You must know what this gospel is; believe it, declare it and act upon it; and you will completely subdue the enemy. The cross is satan's defeat. Praise God!
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
