Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Nothing so humbles the devil like putting the word of God in your mouth, and speaking it by faith. Your mouth primarily is not for eating; it has a greater use than just eating. Eating and drinking are lesser usages of the mouth.
Your tongue is the rudder or steering of your life. It is what determines which direction your life goes. So if you don't like the direction in which your life is going, then it is time to reconstruct your talking and confessions.
The word of God is powerful and alive; it is sharper than any two-edged sword according to the scriptures (Hebrews 4:12). But for it to deliver the results you desire, you have to put it in your mouth and speak it forth by faith.
The word just on the pages of your Bible won't do you any good. It will not bring the money; it will not heal that sickness in your body; it will not change that wayward child; it will not make your marriage work. That word must be released through your mouth, impregnated with faith. It is the declaration, announcement and proclamation of the word that brings men from bondages and destruction.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I believe that speaking the word is the number one way of expressing your faith or using the word. This vast universe came as a result of speaking; no action was done. Since your mouth controls your life, it implies that when you speak the truth of God's word into your life, you will begin to crush the enemy.
Psalms 18:44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
Sickness, poverty, depression and death are all strangers in your life. And the only way to cause them to fade and disappear is to speak forth the word of God by faith. The devil does not like you speaking faith filled words. This is one reason why when you talk defeat and lack, your friends don't get agitated. But the moment you start talking, I am a millionaire, I cannot be sick, then you will begin to cause no small stir.
As you study the word or receive Rhema through listening to an anointed teaching, put that word in your mouth and speak it by faith. This will put the enemy to flight.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
