LEADERS MUST TAKE THE LEAD IN GIVING
LEADERS MUST TAKE THE LEAD IN GIVING

Pastor Victor
2 Chronicles 35:8 And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.
Leaders must be involved in giving. It is to you a according to your faith and not title. If you are a Pastor or a leader in the house of God and you don’t participate in giving financially in the kingdom of God, it is sure you will receive nothing. If the leader in the house of God wants to receive, like every other believer, he must be involved in the giving business.
From our opening scripture, we are told how the princes, meaning, the rulers gave willingly to the celebration of the Passover feast. And I love the style by which they gave; they gave willingly. This is how God wants us to give. If you study scripture carefully, you will see how leaders in the Bible gave offerings to God. Before David died, he made so much provision for the building of the temple running into billions of dollars. Also, his mighty men were involved in giving to the building of the temple.
Something happens to a church when the Pastor is involved in giving. When a Pastor is a giver, it affects the giving ability of his members. Suddenly, folks in the church begins to give generously to the work of Christ.
On the other hand, if the Pastor is not a giver, it negates the giving ability of the members. Leaders of churches must know this secret. The Pastor must give; the deacons and elders must also be involved in the giving. This will greatly create a generous atmosphere in the church. And when that happens, the church will prosper beyond measure.
This is why I believe that folks who aren’t faithful in their tithing, firstfruits offering and other giving in the house of God should not be made leaders in any capacity. Well, that’s my “sunesis” (understanding) and I believe it is scriptural.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
When Jesus said, give and it shall be given to you, He did not refer to the members only; it is whosoever; it implies that everyone is included in it. Members and Pastors and leaders of churches must be involved in giving generously. Seeds don’t respond to you because you are short, tall, black or white. As long as you put it in the ground, who you are notwithstanding, it will produce a harvest for the sower.
The benefits of giving is awesome. It frees you from greed and covetousness. It refreshes you. Don’t be a stingy Pastor. A stingy Pastor will produce stingy members. And when that happens that church is in trouble; it is sure the devil will freeze their finances. Be involved in giving today in order to unlock God’s harvest for you.
