STOP THIS MOURNING CEREMONY!

1 Samuel 16:1 And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth–lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Saul disobeyed God and was rejected by God. The Prophet Samuel confronted king Saul for his foolishness and told him that God has taken the kingdom from him and has given it to a neighbour better than himself. Who was that neighbour better than Saul? His name is David which means beloved.

Samuel really mourned for Saul till Almighty God had to interrupt the mourning ceremony. Remember Samuel was the one who anointed Saul as king hence when God rejected Saul as king, it really pained him; it was as if his labour has been in vain. The grace lesson in this story is that Saul is a picture of the first covenant that God cut with Israel; and it is the covenant of the Law.

Scripture is clear that the old covenant of law has been abolished and it is obsolete. In fact, it has faded away just like the glory on Moses’ face faded with time. The problem we have today in the body of Christ is folks who want us to live by the Ten Commandments just like Samuel was mourning for Saul. They are advocating that the law of Moses must be obeyed. In fact, in America, many are advocating that the Ten Commandments be brought back to the schools. What needed to be restored in schools is John 3:16.

God has said that the law has been disannulled for the unprofitableness thereof. The better hope has been brought by Jesus; and that’s what we have to be celebrating today instead of mourning for the law that has been done away with and dethroned.

Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear. NIV

All over the world, God is interrupting mourning ceremonies in the church. There is a grace revolution all over the world. Sadly, many are still holding on to the law; they are still mourning for the law to be enthroned.

The law has served it’s purpose; and it has been dethroned and grace is on the throne. This is why I have the mandate from heaven to preach and teach God’s a amazing grace to the nations. The mourning is no more necessary. Arise and celebrate the grace gospel, God not counting man’s sins against them on the account of Christ.

Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
